"Your Face Sounds Familiar" first runner up Michael Pangilinan gave a straight-to-the-point answer when asked if he was the guy in a video scandal that went viral on social media during Valentine's Day.
Totoo po na ako 'yon," he said in a press conference held Monday.
Pangilinan clarified, however, that the incident happened three to four years ago, when he was still a minor.
According to the 19-year-old singer, he is now a changed man now that he already has a son.
Meanwhile, Pangilinan also said that he does not see the need to lie about the video.
“The more na itatago mo siya at magsisinungaling ka, the more na paglalaruan ka ng mga tao, e.
Amid the scandal, Pangilinan is thankful to his family and friends for their unwavering support in spite of what happened.
Kasi kung wala kayo, saan ako magsasalita?" he said.
“Kaya thankful ako kay God, kasi alam kong kahit na my problemang dumarating, kahit ganito yung nangyayari sa akin, nandiyan kayo to support me, to guide me, para mas maging madali ang buhay,” he added.
